Urbandub_embrace_1 1. Endless, A Silent Whisper - Urban Dub

an enticing song that somehow managed to tickle the fancy of all, even the emo-funk generation…  the 3rd single from the band’s 3rd album, it is no. 1 for three weeks now…

Sandwichfive_on_the_floor_4 2.  Walang Kadala-Dala - Sandwich

a continuation of the funky groove which the band has introduced with their first single (Sugod) from their 4th album… this fitting follow-up was no.1 for two weeks…

Halespecial_limited_edition_1 3. Blue Sky - Hale

a hopeful song emoted through a powerful rock ballad rift… the 6th single from the band’s self-titled debut album, it peaked at no. 2 for a week…

Noimageavailimgmap 4. Taralets - Imago

one that will make you jump and sing at the same time… this carrier from their is-it-released-already-? 3rd album (Blush) is no.2 for two weeks now…

This July, On The Look-out for: IMAGO’s 3rd Album

Sunday, July 2nd, 2006

ImagoIMAGO first came to my attention around 2001 with their Rainsong, then I was impressed when Aia de Leon and Zach Lucero respectively won as Vocalist of the Year and Drummer Of The Year at that year’s NU Rock Awards… I was hoping that Myrene Academia (bassist) would win, too, but i knew then that she and Tim Cacho (guitarist) will have more chances…

Imagotake22005 was a big year for them with the release of Take 2, which contained the songs Taning, the superhit Akap, Anino and the current favorite Free Fall. They also won Best Music Video for Akap and Aia again won Female Rock Icon at last year’s NU Rock Awards.

This July, they are planning to release the 3rd album… the carrier single, TARALETS, is already playing on  NU 107, Jam 88.3 , 97.1 WLS-FM and 99.5RT, and is certainly gearing-up to be a hit in the making…

Kaya, this year, let’s make it happen for IMAGO, they are bound to explode big-time on the pop rock scene again soon… What are you waiting for? TARALETS!!!

Launch Pad Band for July: HILERA

Sunday, July 2nd, 2006

Lokal Flavor Band for July: MANOMANO

Sunday, July 2nd, 2006

MANOMANO in Tagalog means "by hand"… Sa Cebuano, I heard it means "kuya, kuya"… the band says most of them are elder brothers in a way, hence the name "Manomano"…

Mano But they are a band to watch out for here in Mega Manila… composed of Mano on mic and pen, Momoi on guitar 2, Deloy on guitar 1,  Miko on bass and Zaryo on drums, they are trying to follow the route of earlier bands from the South (Cebu and Mindanao area) who made a mark with their own brand of music…

Manomano_album with their debut album, Ladies First, released by Sony-BMG, and their funky first single, Bigay Na Bigay, it looks like they are on their way…
