Apologies and Awards…
yup, you read it right!
apologies are in order because i failed to update my blog for three weeks!!! no excuses this time…
also, i am skipping the regular features that i do each month, although if i might mention, i would have featured the following:
- Sugarfree’s Talaarawan(their 3rd album) on On The Look-out
- Rivermaya on Powerband Spotlight
- The Ambassadors (Cebu-based punk rock band) on Lokal Flavor
- After Image on Band Influential
hope to get the chance to do these features soon!
now, as to the second topic…
SOP Music Awards 2006 is on, but what what ticks me off is that their Pasiklaband 2006 Band of the Year is not listed on the Artist of the Year nominees, and their Pasiklaband 2006 Breakthrough Band is not nominated on the same category this time… hmm, kind of confirms the suspicion that the Pasiklaband results stink! why bother if this one will be just a repeat???? the only redeeming value? the only category that truly makes sense: the SONG OF THE YEAR, a choice between Kamikazee’s Narda, Sandwich’s Sugod, Itchyworms‘ Akin Ka Na Lang and 6cyclemind’s Sandalan…
can i just imagine what will the first ASAP Pop Awards 2006 be like? (",)

The 13th NU107 Rock Awards will be held on DEC. 1, 2006 on the World Trade Center (is this in Roxas Boulevard?)…. there is no list of nominees yet, but already scheduled to perform are Sandwich, Itchyworms, Kamikazee, Urban Dub, Up Dharma Down, Pedicab, Paramita, Pupil, Parokya Ni Edgar, Dong Abay, Dicta License, Chicosci and The Dawn.. 13 bands in all… (",)
