NU 107 COUNTDOWN 107 for 2006

A Better Year….!!!

NU 107 lived up (again!) to its rep as the most pinoy band-friendly station by placing 69 (!) OPM band songs in this year’s Countdown 107. This much awaited year-ender special, this time dished out by Pontree, Mallory, Shannon, Francis Brew, Bo Bomeister and finally, all the rock jocks (except Andy And Russ, hmmm), is always a treat to all PB fans. The top 10 songs this year are all OPM, led by this year’s Best New Artist at the Rock Awards, UP DHARMA DOWN… their song, Pag-agos, clinched the top spot, edging perennial #1, Kamikazee’s Narda.

hmmm, 99.5 RT is reformatting beginning Jan. 1, 2007…

their teasers poke fun at other radio stations and, funnily enough, i find them irrititatingly cute… (",)

Vote "hit"? Hit 99.5????? Oh, please…

bad news, though… RT100 might be a goner, too….

i think another reformatting station by the new year is KLite 103.5.. no inkling, though… just "a new sound is coming"…. hmmm…

year-ender specials

2006 is about to end, and here is a list of what to eagerly expect:

KWARENTA: the PB40 for 2006, the forty hottest pinoy band songs as tabulated from the weekly countdowns of NU107, Magic 89.9, Monster RX93.1, Campus 97.1 WLS-FM and 99.5 RT, plus Jam 88.3 and Wave 89.1…

BEINTE: the 20 hottest bands of 2006 based on radio countdown performance

COUNTDOWN 107: the NU 107 year-ender countdown, probably on Dec.31, from 6 am to 12 midnight… more than half will probably be from pinoy bands…

RT100: the year-ender special of 99.5 RT… last year’s 25/100 pinoy band songs will definitely be improved… maybe on Dec. 30 or 31… or maybe no RT100 at all….

Countdown TOP 20 OPM: RX 93.1’s OPM year-ender coundown, on Dec. 22, Friday, 6 pm…

all the other radio stations will have their year-enders on Dec. 31…
